We do not anticipate closure unless further heavy snowfall arrives which is unlikely. Some staff may be affected but contingencies are in place.

As ever, this web page is the only place where closure information will be posted.

Weather Guidance 2012

As communicated to you before, we will update you using this page on an almost hourly basis when there are closure possibilities, as well as headlining our decisions to OPEN or CLOSE on the front page of the web site.

We will NOT be using local radio as experience tells us that snowlines become jammed and we have in the past spent hours with important phone lines tied up whilst on hold. Similarly radio and local news lacks commitment to updates once the initial "news" value is over.
Trafford have an alerts team who are already emailing forecast information to schools and they will also update their council web page with all school closures.
